Wonderful talent for creating colorful, unforgettable characters -- who could forget Flo and the potato in the tailpipe? Dialogues are sharp, fast (as becomes a police story), realistic and to the point. Loved the book and can't wait for the second one.

Joyce said: Couldn't put it down! I enjoyed the police action, the insight into what policemen face daily and the effect on them. Good comedy, good philosophy. Waitning for your next book.

I especially like the crisp dialog and the sense that only someone whoâ??d been there could write like this. And the issues Dan is wrestling with are huge ones. Bottom line â?? I canâ??t wait to get back to it.

Just finished reading it. Enjoyed the police action and comedy more than the philsophy, but all was very interesting. Best comedy was prank on "Sleepy" and best police action was counterfeiters. By any chance did "Tin Foil Man" originate from the April fool prank that your office experienced?

I'm waiting with anticipation to read it, but my husband has monopolized it - he liked it so much he's reading it twice!
